Firefighters responded to a fire this morning at an old building in Stockton.

The fire broke out early Sunday morning at the old Union Pacific railroad station on East Weber Avenue and North Union streets in Stockton. When they arrived at the abandoned building, firefighters saw smoke coming from the second story, according to a statement from Stockton Firefighters Local 456.

They were slowed down a little from entering the building by heavily secured windows and doors. Once inside, crews were able to safely and quickly put out the flames.
