FBI: Man Sent Messages Threatening To Kill Porn Star

COLUMBUS, Ga. (AP) - A Columbus man has been accused of threatening the life of a California-based porn star who goes by the name Malena Morgan via social media.

Multiple media outlets report that a hearing in Columbus federal court for 25-year-old Brian Blankenship that had been scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed to Friday.

Federal agents say Blankenship used email and the video-streaming social media tool "Periscope" to send Morgan threats.

According to an Aug. 27 complaint, Blankenship sent Morgan a video message referencing the Aug. 26 on-air shootings of a Virginia television news crew, and threatened to use live-streaming on Periscope to show him shooting the woman.

He is charged with transmitting in interstate commerce a communication threatening to injure an identified individual.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Blankenship has an attorney.
