Father Who Went Missing After Daughter's Grand Island Mansion Wedding Found Dead

WALNUT GROVE (CBS13) — The body of man who went missing on his daughter's wedding day has been found during a water recovery on Monday.

Prasad Moparti was reported missing on Feb. 14 after his daughter's Feb. 13 wedding at Grand Island Mansion. Neighbors say they last saw Prasad walking toward the that afternoon.

The search by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department was called off on Feb. 16.

Crews working a water rescue on Monday found his body in the Walnut Grove area.

Prasad Moparti was smiling in the last family picture he took before he mysteriously vanished. But Durga Moparti says her father seemed unhappy after arriving from India.

Rajesh Gutta says his father in law wanted to go for a walk after the wedding ceremony.
