Father Of Infant Found Dead Speaks Out From Behind Bars

YOLO COUNTY (CBS13) - Frank Rees, the father of Justice Rees, the infant whose lifeless body was found in a Yolo County slough last week, spoke out today from a Yolo County Jail about his son's death.

Rees' fiancé, Samantha Green, is accused of killing the baby boy, something Rees says isn't possible.

"I know she's not capable of hurting that baby intentionally," he said. "She was an amazing mom and loved that baby with her whole heart."

Those statements echo those made by Green's family on Sunday.

He went on to say he should be planning Justice's funeral, but can't because he can't post bail.

Rees was arrested on unrelated misdemeanor warrants on Sunday, which included multiple DUI charges, driving with a suspended license and failure to appear in court.

His bail is set at $120,000. Rees has not been named as a suspect in Justice's death.

Green also remains in jail where she is being held without bail for murder. She is scheduled to be arraigned sometime this week.

Watch more of our interview with Rees in the CBS13 News at 4, 5, 6 and 10.
