Family thanks Waterloo Morada firefighters for saving their loved one

Firefighters with the Waterloo Morada Fire District were thanked by a family for saving their loved one, the fire district said Sunday. 

The fire district said crews responded to a crash that seriously injured a woman last week.  

"The quick and skilled actions of our firefighters helped save her, and today, we were able to meet her family and hear their heartfelt thanks," the district said.

When they visited the station, the family brought a framed photo that showed their appreciation. 

"We are incredibly grateful to have been able to make a difference for this family, and we are so glad to see their mother is recovering," the district said.
