Family, Friends Celebrate Life Of Ronin Shimizu

FOLSOM (CBS13) – Friends and family held a celebration of life Saturday for a Folsom boy who took his own life.

Ronin Shimizu died last month. The 12-year-old committed suicide after being bullied, his family says.

Saturday morning, many packed Lakeside Church to remember the boy who loved cheerleading, fashion and the boy scouts.

"Even though he's not physically with me I have not lost him though he has and will always be in my heart," a speaker at the service said.

Supporters have raised more than $21,000 for the boy's memorial fund.
