Explosion, Fire At Northern California Winery Injures 1

PHILO, Calif. (AP) -- An employee has been injured after an explosion and fire at a Northern California winery.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat reports that the Anderson Valley Fire Department responded Tuesday after something caused an explosion in a storage room at Goldeneye winery in Philo.

An employee was in the room when it exploded. She was treated for her injuries and released from the hospital Tuesday night.

Fire Department Chief Andres Avila says the explosion and structure fire damaged about 40 percent of the building. He did not have an estimate of the cost of the damage.
