Evacuation Warning Lifted As Crews Make Progress On Butte County Fire

PALERMO (CBS13) — An evacuation warning was lifted Wednesday afternoon as crews made progress on a grass fire near a small community in Butte County.

The fire was burning near the Palermo area south of Oroville.

The warning was for the areas of Wyandotte Creek east to Railbridge Road, Crestmont Avenue, McIntosh Avenue, and south to the south of Nora Way.

Cal Fire said the fire was 65% contained and burned 8 acres. Two outbuildings were burned.
