Elverta resident, 65, dies in crash north of Sacramento
SACRAMENTO COUNTY – An Elverta resident has died after a crash off Highway 99 north of Sacramento over the weekend.
California Highway Patrol says the crash happened just before 10:30 a.m. Sunday near Elverta Road.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear, but the vehicle ended up going off the roadway and crashing into a pole.
The driver died at the scene, CHP says.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office has identified the driver who died as 65-year-old Lee Vincent Giroux from Elverta.
