Elk Grove Police Investigating Possible Shooting, Car Crashing Into Business
ELK GROVE (CBS13) — A vehicle that crashed into a building in Elk Grove may have been involved in a shooting on Thursday afternoon.
Police are investigating reports of shots fired east of where the vehicle crashed on Atkins and Whitelock Parkway. The occupants fled the vehicle and police are searching for them.

Police said no victims were located in the area where the shooting was reported.
Franklin High School and Elk Grove Charter School were placed on lockdown under police direction, though school officials would not say if it was because of a shooting.
