Shots Fired At Residence In Elk Grove, 1 Person Injured

ELK GROVE (CBS13) - One person was injured in Elk Grove on Monday during an incident at a residence where gunshots were also fired, say police.

Around 8:45 a.m., Monday, officers said they went to a home in the 9500 block of Derr Street on reports of shots being fired. When they arrived, officers found a woman at the home who had received a cut on her forehead, but it didn't appear to be the result of a shooting, said Elk Grove police Officer Chris Trim.

Police say they know who the suspect is and say he's on the run. He formerly lived at the residence, said Trim.

Trim said he didn't identify the suspect because the investigation is evolving.
