Grass Fire Burns Close To Homes Near Sheldon Road And Highway 99
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Fire crews battled a blaze burning close to homes in Elk Grove.
The scene was off Dandelion Drive, just north of Sheldon Road.
Firefighters say about 2-3 acres of grass was burning.
More crews were called to the scene due to the flames burning close the backyard fences of some homes.
Crews on Dandelion grass fire report that there is some backyard fence involvement adjacent to homes. Additional resources requested.

It is unclear what sparked the fire.
Crews reported making good progress on the fire and have contained it to 10 acres.
Firefighters will be at the scene for some time for mop-up work.
