Elderly Rio Linda Man Says He Was Robbed By Man He Trusted To Help Around Home

RIO LINDA (CBS13) — An elderly Rio Linda man was allegedly robbed by a man he says he knows and never wants to see again.

Ken Wilkinson says he hired Leonard Bradrich to help him with odd jobs around the house. But he says he soon started realizing every time Bradrich would come over, things would go missing.

He told the 24-year-old to never come back, but Wilkinson says Bradrich wouldn't leave him alone.

"He's broken into the house at three times, three different times," he said.

Wilkinson says Bradrich came back to the house on Monday night and attacked him, taking his wallet and other personal items as well before driving off with Wilkinson's van.

For some reason though, that wasn't enough. Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies say Bradrich came back for more. But at that time, deputies say they were there and able to arrest him for home invasion robbery and auto theft.

Wilkinson says he's learned a lesson when it comes to trusting the people he allows into his home.

"Believe in everything, believe in nothing both at the same time," he said.
