El Dorado Sheriff's Deputy Arrested In Nevada, Faces Drug Charges

MINDEN, Nev. (CBS13) – A veteran of the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department is facing drug charges.

Deputy Mark Zlendick was arrested in Minden, Nevada on Tuesday, according to the department.

Douglas County authorities say deputies showed up at a Minden home after someone dialed 911 but hung up. Once at the home, the deputies what looked to be drugs and drug paraphernalia.

After an investigation, Zlendick was arrested and booked into Douglas County Jail. He has since bailed out.

El Dorado County says Zlendick has been with the department since 2004. He has been put on paid administrative leave as the investigation, which is being handled by Douglas County, continues.
