Big rig crash closes EB I-80 in the Sierra for most of Thursday
BLUE CANYON - An overturned big rig at Blue Canyon caused the closure of I-80 to eastbound traffic for most of Thursday.
The crash happened a little before 5:30 a.m.
Crews were working on clearing the big rig crash, but no estimated time of reopening was given.
It wasn't until just before 5 p.m. that the road reopened.
Sierra motorists are reminded to be alert for icy road conditions and drive with caution.
