Drone Hits Power Line, Knocking Out Electricity To Some West Hollywood Residents

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) — A drone struck utility lines in West Hollywood, leaving some Southern California Edison customers without power for hours.

City News Service reports that the drone hit the lines Monday afternoon. Power was restored about four hours later to the 187 affected customers.

Southern California Edison spokesman Robert Villegas says the outage was caused by a drone that hit some power lines, causing one of them to come down.
