Dozens Of Vehicles Involved In Crash Near Truckee

TRUCKEE (CBS13) - Slushy conditions is making for a horrific day of driving in the Sierra.

Dozens of cars, plus four big rigs, were involved in a crash just past the Nevada state line, holding up traffic on Interstate 80 for several hours.

According to CHP-Truckee, the westbound lane has been reopened. Eastbound I-80 still remains closed at Hirschdale. Caltrans crews are currently working to clear the last of the collisions.

No injuries have been reported in any of the crashes.

Expect residual slowing even when the roads reopen, crews say.
