Body Of Man Who Suffered Gunshot Wound Found In Front Of State Building

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Authorities are investigating after the body of a man was found in front of a state building Monday morning.

The scene is along 9th and L streets.

California Highway Patrol says, around 6 a.m., an employee nearby called in to report seeing a man's body in the area. Officers responded and found the body; the man had apparently suffered a gunshot wound.

The victim is believed to be a transient.

Investigators are still at the scene looking for witnesses of the incident.
