Dog That Went Missing From Sacramento Pet Spa Found

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A dog missing for nearly two weeks after it escaped from a pet spa has been found, the SPCA says.

Patches, a 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, went missing on Oct. 21 after he escaped from the play area at Sacramento Pet Resort and Spa near Power Inn Road. He reportedly got out through a gap in the fence while staff members broke up a fight between two other dogs.

The spa was offering up a $1,000 reward for Patches' return.

Thursday, the Sacramento SPCA announced that Patches had been found.

An SPCA staff member saw a scruffy-looking dog on the side of the road and brought it to the shelter. After taking a look at its tags, the SPCA discovered the dog was none other than Patches.

Despite being a little roughed up and scared, Patches seems to be fine. Patches will be reunited with his owner later on Thursday.
