Disney: 'Indiana Jones' 5 To Star Harrison Ford; Steven Spielberg To Direct

LOS ANGELES (CBS) – Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg are teaming up again to make another "Indiana Jones" movie.

Disney confirmed on Tuesday that the famed actor and director will reunite for a fifth film in the epic series that's set to hit theaters on July 19, 2019.

"Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can't wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019," Disney chairman Alan Horn said in a statement. "It's rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn't be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven."

The 73-year-old Ford last starred as the daring explorer in 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull."

The "Indiana Jones" franchise has grossed about $2 billion in theaters worldwide.
