Did Sacramento Metro Firefighter Post Racist Messages On Facebook?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) —The Sac Metro Fire Department is investigating claims one of its firefighters wrote racist posts on his Facebook page.

One of the Facebook posts references a Trump wall on the border, and suggests building private shooting ranges, allowing American citizens to hone their skills.

The post reads, "illegal immigrants welcome…we need the target practice..."

Another, posted on election night reads, "OK is it me or what? One the tv they really showing riots in the street over the election? I change the channel and what do I see? Planet of the Apes. Ironic?"

Sac Metro Fire released a statement reading "Metro Fire cannot confirm whether the Facebook page of the posts are connected to any employee in the district. Metro Fire is currently investigating the claim."

And

"Metro Fire does not condone statements which may be perceived as as threatening or discriminatory towards members of the public we serve."

Alarming Facebook posts, that has Sac Metro launching an investigation.
