Did Refs Blow Call In Sacramento Kings Game Against Memphis Grizzlies?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — CBS13 took video of Thursday's game-ending shot from the Sacramento Kings' game against the Memphis Grizzlies to a video expert for a frame-by-frame breakdown.

With 0.3 seconds on the clock, the Grizzlies' inbounded the ball to Courtney Lee who laid it in as the horn sounded. Referees reviewed the play for five minutes, ultimately calling it good.

However, if the Kings tipped the ball, the clock should have started at that moment, leaving the Grizzlies with no time to get off the game-winning shot.

CBS13's Nick Janes sat down with editor Dennis Chapin for a breakdown of what happened on that last possession.

The Kings may argue the clock wasn't started on time and appeal the ending of the game. The last protest in an NBA game was granted back in 2008, and before that in 1982.

The Kings are protesting the loss. The NBA is expected to rule on the appeal on December 2.
