Deuce: 49ers Need To Hold Funeral For Seahawks

I'm not sure anyone predicted the Seahawks would be rolling into Santa Clara with a 2-4 record. This Thursday presents a unique opportunity for a 49ers team that has played better(?) football over the last two weeks.

With a win on Thursday, they could effectively end the Seahawks season. There's no shot the Seahawks could bounce back if they start the season at 2-5.

Remember what happened last season on Thanksgiving night? Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman literally had a Thanksgiving feast on the 50-yard line at Levi's Stadium. They chowed down on turkey legs and stuffing after embarrassing you in an ugly 19-3 loss on YOUR turf.

Oh, and who could forget Jed's infamous apology tweet after that loss to the Seahawks:

Super Bowl 50 may be coming to Levi's Stadium but Thursday is the 49ers' Super Bowl and they should treat it as such. If the 49ers beat Carroll's bunch, I want to see Kap and Tomsula come to midfield with a shovel and bury one of those stupid "12" jerseys.

The last 12 months have been awful for the 49ers, but for one day the fans could feel better.
