Detectives Looking For Owner Of Badges Found At Pawn Shop

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Detectives are looking for the rightful owners of a couple of vintage fire department badges.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department says that someone was trying to sell the badges at a local pawn shop. Apparently, the person who tried to pawn them off had no reason or explanation as to why he had them.

Detectives say that the badges were issued before the 1980s. The Oakland Fire Department and the manufacturers of the badges have been contacted, but the owners have not been identified.

Anyone with information on who the badges belong to is asked to email Detective Fisher at sfisher@sacsheriff.com.
