Deputy Danny Oliver To Be Honored Monday With Memorial Service In Roseville

ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy Danny Oliver will be laid to rest Monday.

He was shot and killed ten days ago when a gunman went on a rampage.

Monday's procession began at the Sierra Hills memorial in Citrus Heights and ended in Roseville at the Adventure Christian Church, where the memorial service will be held.

Sunday was the last day of public visitation for two fallen deputies.

A gunman is accused of killing both Oliver and Placer County Detective Michael Davis Jr. more than a week ago.

Deputy Oliver's service will begin at 11 a.m., while Detective Davis' funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the same location.

A small processional will travel from Sierra Hills Memorial on Greenback Lane, then head onto eastbound Interstate 80. It will then merge onto northbound Highway 65. The procession will then get off at Stanford Ranch Road and continue to the Adventure Christian Church.

Drivers should expect delays along this route when the processions starts.
