Deputies: Woman Grazed By Bullets Fired Into Sacramento Apartment

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that happened Monday morning in Sacramento.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. at an apartment on Elk Grove Florin Road near Calvine Road. A man and woman living inside the apartment say they heard a knock at the door, and before they could open it, some shots were fired through the door and some through a nearby window, according to a statement from a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesperson.

The woman was grazed on the neck by a bullet. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and is expected to be OK. The man was not injured.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was random.

The man who lives at the apartment is cooperating with police.
