Detectives Looking For Navy Vet Whose Ring Was Turned Into Pawn Shop

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department is asking for help in finding the owner of a ring believed to be owned by a Navy veteran.

Deputies say the ring was turned in to a North Sacramento-area pawn shop recently. The pawn shop then contacted deputies about the distinctive ring.

The ring looks to be a 14 karat white gold ring with a clear stone on top and anchors – indicating the wearer is a veteran of the United States Navy – on its sides. Numerous pictures of the ring, from all sides, have been posted on the sheriff department's Facebook page.

No other identifying information about the ring has been released.

Anyone with information about who the ring belongs to is asked to email or call Detective Fisher at sfisher@sacsheriff.com or (916) 876-5722.
