Dense Fog Advisory In Effect Until Late Morning

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Officials have issued a dense fog advisory through late Friday morning for most of the valley.

The National Weather Service says that areas of dense fog are expected to linger through 11 a.m.

Interstate 5 through Sacramento County, and areas on the east side of the Sacramento Valley from Marysville and below, are the biggest areas of concern for morning commuters due to patchy, dense fog.

As of 6 a.m., many areas around Sacramento are already down to zero visibility.

Foggy conditions mean drivers should slow down, only use low beam headlights and leave plenty of space between cars.
