DeMarcus Cousins Suspended For One Game After Hit On Horford

DeMarcus Cousins was suspended for one game by the NBA after a forearm to the head of Atlanta Hawks' Al Horford. The Sacramento Kings will be without their star center Thursday night as they face the Miami Heat on the road.

The incident between Cousins and Horford happened early on in the game, towards the end of the first quarter, and appeared to be an act of frustration after tangling up with the Hawks' center.

Cousins will not be paid during the suspension, missing out on $178,620 of his $14 million salary. This will be the fifth game this season the Kings will be playing without Cousins, who are already 0-4 in such contests (missed due to injury). Over his career, the Kings haven't had the best luck when cousins is on the bench -  an 11-37 record, in fact.

The Kings lost 97-103 to the Hawks, ending their three-game winning streak. They stand at 4-8 and will face-off against a 6-4 Heat team Thursday night. The Kings have yet to win a game on the road this season (0-3).
