DeMarcus Cousins Admitted To Hospital For Viral Infection

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - DeMarcus Cousins won't be suiting up for the next couple of games as he continues to recover from a viral infection.

Cousins, who underwent additional evaluation on Tuesday evening, missed the last three games - all losses - with the illness. The team said Wednesday that Cousins will not be in uniform when Sacramento hosts Indiana on Friday and Orlando on Saturday.

Team physicians admitted Cousins to the hospital for treatment and rest.

Cousins will not be in uniform this weekend, with a return to competition expected by next week.

Cousins is averaging career highs of 23.5 points, 12.6 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. Sacramento has lost four straight after a surprising 9-5 start this season.
