Suspect In Del Paso Heights Standoff Has Been Detained

DEL PASO HEIGHTS (CBS13) - The suspect in a Del Paso Heights standoff has been detained after surrendering peacefully at around 5:10 p.m., police say.

A standoff happened after police responded to reports of a felony assault with a knife.

Police say the suspect was alone and has barricaded himself inside of an apartment building on Plaza Avenue.

There were no reported injuries. The suspect faces multiple charges, including felony assault with a knife.
