David Blatt to Interview For Sacramento Kings' Head Coach Position

According to multiple reports the Sacramento Kings will interview former Cleveland Cavalier head coach David Blatt for their head-coaching vacancy later on this week.

Add Blatt's name to the multiple candidates that have interviewed so far for the Kings. Names such as Sam Mitchell, Vinny Del Negro, Mike Woodson, Kevin McHale, Patrick Ewing, Mark Jackson, Nate McMillan, Etorre Messina and Elston Turner have been thrown out there as potential candidates.

While his time with the Cavaliers ended shortly, it doesn't mean it wasn't a success. Yes, Blatt was fired after a little over a year with the Cavaliers but in that time the Cavs had the second best record in the Eastern Conference (53-29) and then started off the season 30-11 before being let go. Add that to the championships that he won in the Euroleague and Israel League Championships and Blatt, if he comes to Sacramento may be the most accomplished coach the Kings have ever had.

Considering the tumultuous relationship that the previous head coach had it's important that the Kings get someone who they feel can be with and lead the team for many years to come. Nothing is agreed to at this time but, assuming nothing happens in the meantime expect more names to come out later in the week.
