CBS News Sacramento

SACRAMENTO COUNTY – A damaged concrete slab has Interstate 5 partially closed near the southern Sacramento County line Wednesday night.

The problem slab is on the northbound side of the freeway, just north of Twin Cities Road. Exactly how the slab was damaged is unclear.

Caltrans crews will be working on replacing the slab with some new concrete through the night. Due to the work, drivers should expect delays.

The whole northbound side of the freeway near Twin Cities Road was closed, but as of Wednesday night, traffic was getting by in one lane.

Highway 99 can be used as a detour.
