Dad Surprises San Francisco Giants Fan At School With Tickets To World Series Game 7

KANSAS CITY (CBS13) — If it isn't already obvious, Mirabell's favorite player is San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval.

She didn't expect to be within shouting distance of him on as he took the field Wednesday night for Game 7 of the World Series.

She wasn't expecting the announcement over the school intercom announcing the surprise from her dad of tickets to that night's game.

"I was not enjoying that class either," she said. "I was like I wanna get out of here."

And get out of there she did. From her classroom in the suburbs of Chicago, they went to Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

"I've been waiting for this watching it at home every single night until this game, and then at school he picked me up over the intercom, it was like your dad's here to take you to Game 7 of the World Series," she said.

Wait a minute—we had to ask her dad, Bill, if he really surprised her just this morning.

"Yeah we live in Chicago and I made the decision this morning about 8 o'clock," he said.

It's an experience the young Giants fan will remember for the rest of her life.
