Dad Accused Of Leaving Baby In Car And Going Into Gym

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Police say a father left his 8-month-old daughter in an unlocked car with the engine running for about an hour while he went inside a Los Angeles gym.

Police said 25-year-old Solomon Allen was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment Friday after a passerby found the infant in the parked car in the garage below a 24-Hour Fitness gym in North Hollywood.

The baby was taken to the hospital for a checkup before being released to her mother.

KABC-TV reports Allen is a personal trainer and was meeting a client at the gym.

He has been released after posting $100,000 bail.
