D Nate Guenin Returns To Anaheim Ducks On 1-year Deal

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Defenseman Nate Guenin has agreed to a one-year, $600,000 contract to return to the Anaheim Ducks.

The 33-year-old veteran has scored 28 points in 205 career NHL games with Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Anaheim and Colorado. He spent the past three seasons with the Avalanche, scoring a career-high 15 points during the 2014-15 campaign.

Guenin played 15 games for the Ducks in 2011-12, scoring two goals.

He agreed to a two-way deal with Anaheim. Guenin has spent most of his career moving between the AHL and the NHL, playing only two uninterrupted seasons in the NHL.

He could be a depth defenseman for the Ducks, who made no other additions to their roster in the opening days of free agency while losing forwards David Perron, Jamie McGinn and Chris Stewart.
