CVS Health Cutting 152 Jobs At Rancho Cordova Financial Services Center

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — CVS Health will be laying off more than 150 employees in Rancho Cordova as part of a consolidation of its financial services center

The California Employment Development Department says the store filed a notice on June 1 saying it plans to permanently layoff 152 workers before Sept. 30 of this year.

A CVS spokesperson says the layoffs are part of a cost-saving consolidation of four Coram financial service centers, including one in Rancho Cordova.

CVS acquired Coram from Apria in 2013 for $2.1 billion to get into the home infusion market. Home infusion is used when patients can't be treated by oral medication and instead are treated by needle or catheter.

The four centers are being consolidated into one finance center in Phoenix.

Employees working in billing, collections and cash application roles were notified in February of the layoffs. The move does not affect employees in the store's Zinfandel location.
