SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Crews managed to put out a fire at a Victorian home in downtown Sacramento before it could destroy the whole residence.

The scene was near 19th and T Streets. Firefighters were called out to the scene around 5 p.m. Saturday and quickly saw flames and smoke coming from a two-story Victorian home.

A second alarm was called and firefighters quickly went to work.

Within 15 minutes, firefighters had put out the flames. Only one of the four units of the multi-family home was completely destroyed, Sac Fire notes.

No one was hurt in the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Sac Fire notes that Victorian homes often pose challenges to firefighters due to how they're constructed.
