Evacuations In Place As Crews Battle Auburn Fire In Grass Valley

GRASS VALLEY (CBS13) -- A 40-acre vegetation fore is rapidly spreading near Empire Mine in Grass Valley, Cal fire has confirmed.

Road closures are in place near South Auburn Street and Whiting Street.

Cal Fire did confirm evacuations are in place, but could not provide information as to whether they were mandatory or voluntary.

Cal Fire, the Rosville Fire Department, Nevada County Fire Department and Grass Valley Fire Department are all responding.
