Homeless Man Arrested As Crews Battle Massive Fire At Pallet Yard In Sacramento

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A homeless man was arrested as Sacramento firefighters were battling a large fire at a pallet yard Tuesday night.

Just before 10 p.m., the Sacramento Fire Department said the fire was burning along the 6200 block of Ramona Avenue, southwest of the Power Inn Road and Folsom Boulevard.

The location is a commercial storage area filled with hundreds of wooden pallets.

The fire department said the person arrested is experiencing homeless and set the fire unintentionally.

Additional units were called to assist with the firefight.
