Cosumnes River College Student Arrested For Making Criminal Threats Against School

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A Cosumnes River College student is in police custody for making criminal threats.

Around 4 a.m. Monday, police arrested 19-year-old Christopher M. Salazar for making threats toward people at the school, according to Cosumnes River College Public Information Officer Kristie West. West did not elaborate on the contents of the threat but said Salazar messaged his friends on Snapchat and told them what he would do. One friend became worried and contacted police.

Officers went to Salazar's home where he reportedly confessed to police about making the threats.

Salazar was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail on the felony charge of making threats to commit a crime resulting in death or great bodily injury. His bail is set at $25,000
