Coroner Rules 6-Year-Old Girl's Death A Homicide By Blunt-Force Trauma

GLENN COUNTY (CBS13) — An autopsy revealed the cause of death of a Sacramento girl whose body was found burned in Glenn County.

The Glenn County Sheriff's Office said Jadianna Larsen, 6, died as the result of blunt force trauma to the head. Larsen's death has been ruled a homicide.

Larsen was reported missing late on May 28. Her family said the 6-year-old was last seen before noon that day, but said the man watching her had a medical emergency that wasn't discovered until later.

However, just before she was reportedly last seen, volunteer firefighters in Glenn County found a body of a child burned in the field. That body was identified as Larsen.

Investigators arrested her mother's boyfriend, 25-year-old Juan Rivera, as well as his mother days after the Larsen was reported missing.
