Cops Looking For Pellet-Gun Vandal Responsible For 85 Incidents

FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) - Police are asking for the public's help to identify a vandal they say is "wreaking havoc" with a pellet gun in the Orange County city of Fullerton, where there have been 85 reports of smashed windows since June.

Fullerton police Sgt. Jon Radus says this weekend alone 15 homes were damaged by the vandal or group of vandals who are shattering the glass of houses, businesses and cars with an air gun.

Police say the suspect usually operates in the evening and has been seen by witnesses driving in a white, four-door sedan or a silver BMW.

No injuries have been reported but Sgt. Radus says in several instances the buildings targeted were occupied.

Police are unclear whether the vandal is acting alone or in a group.
