Cop Fired, Faces Sex Charges After Allegedly Abducting Turlock Teen

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A former Oklahoma police officer is facing felony kidnapping and sex charges following his arrest at a Las Vegas Strip hotel with a 15-year-old girl who disappeared from a family member's home in Northern California.

The city attorney in Kiowa, Oklahoma, said Friday that Danniel Boone Morgan II was fired by the town board in following his Thursday arrest.

Las Vegas police say the 30-year-old Morgan had been sought on a warrant issued Wednesday in Turlock, California.

He's held now at the Clark County jail pending an initial court appearance on kidnapping and statutory sexual seduction charges. It's not clear if he has a lawyer.

The girl's father tells NBC affiliate KSNV-TV in Las Vegas his daughter was staying with her grandmother when she disappeared this week.
