RIO LINDA (CBS13) – Tow truck drivers laid to rest one of their own who was killed in a high-and-run on Highway 50.

Dozens of tow trucks will drove from Rio Linda to Dixon Thursday morning to remember 29-year-old Michael C. Bower. He had stopped on westbound SR-50 near Jefferson Boulevard in West Sacramento a little before 7:50 p.m. on Feb. 23 due to his truck having mechanical issues.

Bower was then hit as he was collecting the emergency triangles he had put out as a precaution to other drivers.

California Highway Patrol believes a big rig or another high-profile vehicle hit Bower and never stopped.

The suspect driver has still not been found.
