Wrong-way crash on I-80 in Colfax kills 2 people

2 die in wrong-way crash on Interstate 80 in Placer County

A wrong-way crash in Colfax killed two people early Saturday morning, the Placer County Sheriff's Office said.

Around 6 a.m., the sheriff's office said a crash happened on eastbound Interstate 80, west of Highway 174.

The California Highway Patrol said the crash involved a wrong-way car and a big rig. Both people inside the car died and the big rig driver was not injured, the CHP said.
