CNET: Apple Watch Being Sold By Appointment Only

CNET says Apple will only sell the watches through reservations.

"You won't be able to walk into a store to purchase an Apple Watch like you can with the iPhone and iPad. Instead, all sales will be made through a reservation system," said CNET.

You also won't be able to show up to the store and try one on. That will also require making a reservation or visiting the store when business is slow.

If owning one of the watches does not appeal to you, then you can rent one for a week through a company called Lumoid.
