Civilian Community Service Officer Fired After Accusations He Flashed Badge, Pulled Over Motorists

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Sacramento Police says a probationary employee accused of impersonating a police officer has been fired.

The move comes after the man, 20-year-old Ilaya Prozorov, was arrested under suspicion of impersonating a police officer. Victims allege that Prozorov would flash a badge and try to pull them over.

Prozorov was a civilian community service officer, a position that without powers of arrest.

CBS13 obtained video showing a victim confronting Prozorov. For more than six minutes, the victim repeatedly asks the man who says he's a cop to show him his badge.

A few hours after the confrontation, another person reported that Prozorov also tried to pull her over.

Later that evening, Prozorov was arrested in West Sacramento.
