Officers have arrested a man suspected of stealing hundreds of dollars' worth of trading cards from a Sacramento area store.

Citrus Heights police say the theft happened back on Feb. 18. That day, a thief made off with dozens of packs of trading cards from a retail store along Sunrise Boulevard.

The suspect was tracked down by officers and arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.

Police were able to take back the stolen trading cards, which included packs of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic the Gathering. The cards were photographed on top of a police cruiser as evidence and then returned to the store.

Authorities did not release the name of the suspect arrested, noting that he was cited for a misdemeanor and released from custody.
