Citrus Heights Murder Suspect Arrested After Police Find Him Driving Victim's Van

CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — Police have arrested a man in the brutal murder of a Citrus Heights woman.

Allen Franks, 48, was arrested on Tuesday after police found him in the victim's van.

Kimberly Chittenden was found unresponsive in her home on Monday, and was later pronounced dead.

Her van had been taken from her home, leading police to put out an alert seeking a person of interest on Tuesday.

Chittenden leaves behind a 7-year-old child.

It's believed that Franks and Chittenden knew each other.
